Welcome to the first edition of The Insquirer, a newspaper written by students at Calvin Christian High School. This newspaper is designed for the Calvin Christian community to stay aware of events, achievements, and interesting occurrences inside and outside of Calvin Christian High School. First and foremost we are “by the students and for the students.” We strive to inform readers with accounts of current events in order to strengthen our unity as one body.
The Calvin Christian community is filled with extraordinary students, staff, and alumni who endeavor to make an impact for Christ. Through numerous involvements—academics, athletics, the arts, and various clubs—students invent, initiate, and inspire others with their gifts. At The Insquirer, we invite you to witness their accomplishments, join in acknowledging these students for their abilities and praise God for His work in our community.
Combining important information with engaging entertainment, The Insquirer contains news on a wide range of topics including academics, athletics, clubs, and recent events. We aim to be honest, clear, and interesting in all of our material.
This first edition contains the recurring “Top of the Month” by Anthony Hoffman in addition to “Senior Eat-Out Tips” by Seth Piersma, a swimming update by Hannah Vincent, a physiology surgery summary by Emily Sall, “Fall Favorites” by Gabbie Eisma, a cross country update and a review of the play, The Twelve Angry Jurors, by me (Katherine Tanja).
We hope you enjoy this issue.
