Junior Varsity Boys Soccer has been having a great season! The team remains undefeated after eleven games. The JV coach for this year is Mr. Joel Boender, who has successfully led the boys to victory time and time again. The team has fought the weather during their season, being confronted by unbearable heat as well as pouring rain and thunderstorms. Nonetheless, they continue to improve their skills and play like champions.
Today’s spotlight is on a talented freshman soccer player who plays forward. His name is Abraham VandenHoek and he has scored 10 goals this season. Abe’s favorite thing about soccer is that it is a team sport to build skill together, not individually. His favorite thing about Coach Boender is that he is chill and lets the boys have fun during practice. His best goal was when he had a breakaway and nutmegged the last defender. He ran towards the goal. The ball bounced off the goalie and Abe sprinted towards the ball and kicked in the game-winning shot. The crowd went wild!
Please continue to cheer on the boys JV soccer team as they kick this season into a great big goal of success!
