The time has come. We are saying farewell to the seniors and hello to summer—after exams of course. Just thinking about the warm days on the beach, the cold ice cream cones, and the absence of homework make a few more weeks of school seem too long. Thankfully, Gabbie Eisma has written an article to prepare you with all the summer essentials to make this summer amazing.
To help you fight through senioritis, (and junior-itis, sophomore-itsis, and freshman-itis, because those are real too) Seth Piersma wrote an inspiring article. In celebration of the senior class, the “Class of 2018 Profile” article includes profiles of each senior describing the senior’s plans for the future, their memories from CCHS, and their advice for underclassmen.
Hayden Hill remembers the “Frampton Legacy” in his article on our beloved band teacher, Mr. Frampton who will be leaving us after this year. To celebrate the accomplishments of our school’s second year in forensics speech competitions, Katie VanWyhe has written a piece describing the competitions and the school’s success.
We hope you enjoy this final edition of the year. Thank you for reading the articles and making The Insquirer a success. Every member of The Insquirer team has worked to share their gifts with the school in a new way and unite our community through this newspaper. A special shoutout to the senior writers and photographers: Lindsey VanHeuvelen, Megan Timmer, Emily Sall, Gabbie Eisma, Anthony Hoffman, Seth Piersma, Hannah Vincent, Lauren Hoekstra, and Brianna Deppe.
Rachel Lee and I have loved starting this paper and seeing the impact it has had on our school. This is it for now, but don’t worry, next year The Insquirer will be back with Katie VanWyhe leading the team as the Editor-in-Chief. She will be assisted by returning members such as Ella Sytsema. To join the team next year, you can apply in the office or talk to Katie. Enjoy the summer and come back for more editions next year!
