Jessi Dykstra: Jessi will be attending Calvin College this fall to pursue a major in secondary English teaching with a minor in Spanish. She couldn’t decide between two favorite moments. It was either the fact that Mr. Olthoff let her pass her math classes because she made a picture book about Geometry and Algebra, or it was the time when Profe had her act out being the Aztec king and my class ‘stoned’ me with paper rocks. Some things will be out of your control, and that’s okay. Missing a deadline isn’t the end of the world; losing friends is sometimes inevitable.
